Why Rhiw Goch?

Rhiw Goch is a passing point on the Ffestiniog Railway although not often used. There is no station there, juts a loop, siding and signal cabin.

Rhiw Goch translates as (well, according to Google Translate anyway...) as 'red bank' or 'red hill' - perfect as that's where I live!
