Mind the gap...

It's been a very long time since I updated anything here! A house move and four a bit years later...

The house move meant version one of Tan-Y-Graig needed to be retired - in the new house, it's living in the study rather than over a bed but it's meant it needed to be about a foot shorter.

So, in the middle of lockdown last summer, I began work on the new boards. The design hasn't changed significantly though:

Construction began with a mixture of 9mm ply for the sides and 6mm ply for the bracing and tops.

Laying the fiddle yard started in September...

And it's found its home in the study.

Track is laid although not fully secured - I need to do the baseboard joints first.
